The home buying process has changed forever. The cause...the Internet. Now consumers can search, browse, compare, and dream online without ever packing the kids into the car and driving out to models.
The Buying Process Timeline illustrates the findings of homebuyer focus groups conducted in Austin, Dallas and Houston in 2004. The subjects were buyers within the last six months who shared details on their individual buying process: what was important to them and what influenced them at each stage.
Clearly, builders and developers must find viable ways to engage consumers and develop a dialogue that lasts and influences their buying decision that may take place a year after they started to dream.
Long as the process is, it always started with the dream.
